Application Information

Criteria to apply:

ESSAY: 

Write a 500 word essay, in a Word document or PDF format, on how you feel you would benefit by attending the AAEC South Africa Experience. Must submit essays as part of the selection process.  Please address the following questions: 

1) Why do you feel you should be selected to attend this trip? 

2) What are your tentative career/college plans after graduation? 

3) What do you expect to see and experience in South Africa? 

LETTERS OF REFERENCE:

1) Two from an AAEC campus administrator or teachers - You can give their name on a word doc. We can reach out! Do not let this hold you up!

2) One from someone who knows you outside the school (Must not be family)

3) Must have a GPA of a 2.5 or higher and maintain good academic standing and attendance at all times. 

We do monitor classes and grades as needed. Failure to maintain good academic standing (at AAEC and in college) may result in you forfeiting the trip and all funds paid. 

If a student is struggling, we are here to help - but they must still do the work to catch up.

We encourage all students who have an interest to apply! If you have an interest in vet med, human med, conservation and ecology - this is the trip for you!
